Rudolph and Sletten Builds Strong Communities. Our ongoing commitment to the communities where we live and work goes beyond the jobsite. We donate our expertise, time, and equipment to lend support to community building projects for organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Rebuilding Together, and Leap. In addition to offering our talent and services, we also offer financial assistance to support organizations that promote the health and welfare of our communities. We support and encourage our employees’ personal efforts to volunteer in their communities by providing matching donations through our company’s Leo Jansing Fund. The Fund was started to honor one of Rudolph and Sletten’s most generous employees. Each year, contributions raised by employees are matched by the company and given to local organizations in which our employees are actively involved. 2012 Leo Jansing Fund recipients include: Employee InvolvementBuilding Homes in VietnamProject manager, Kelli Quinn, participated in a Habitat for Humanity Global Village trip to Vinh Yen in northern Vietnam. For 9 days, she and a team of volunteers helped four families improve their standard of living while they experienced another culture first hand. As a Global Village volunteer, the team worked alongside the family members to add bathrooms, septic tanks and small additions to homes that were little more than four walls and a roof. According to Kelli, it was hard for the community to understand why strangers would want to help them. “We had to explain to them that we were neighbors too, but from far away,” said Quinn. Their interest soon turned to additional help. Habitat for Humanity Global Village volunteer teams travel to exciting destinations in the United States and around the world. Global Village trip gives volunteers the opportunity to observe and contribute to Habitat’s work firsthand. This was Kelli’s second trip with the organization and she looks forward to volunteering again soon. “I love being able to go on a trip and learn about the culture from the inside, and it gives me a chance to physically build something."
